To my Last Love

A poem entry about love

Did you ever think of that place called Paris?
Did you ever wish of walking on the path of cherry
blossoms in Korea’s streets?
Did you ever imagine that moment when you were at
the bottom of those falling leaves?
Did you ever dreamt of that place... that place
covered with an unimaginable breeze?

Did you ever wish to meet me in that place to view
the sunset?
Did you ever dream of me wearing that pure white
loose flowing outer garment?
Did you ever wish to see me smiling at the edge of
that place like heaven?
Did you ever imagine that moment... that moment
you’re holding my hand in the middle of nowhere?

I was wondering if you ever made a poem before
which is all about our love story?
If you have still remembered the day I met thee?
If you have ever thought of asking me when does
my heart was thieved.
Then if you’ll ask me who did it, you wouldn’t
believe that it was just thee?

I know it’s weird... I am just a young lady writing this
poem diffidently,
But I do believe in the magic that it is always part of
our destiny,
Of all the people in the world, can you ever
imagine?
How powerful love is! That it was just you and only
you. The man who’s always been part of my
beautiful dream.

You have no idea how excited I was
At that moment I can finally say, “here we are at
last!”
Then I can shout and scream, “this is the man I am
crazy in love with, he’s my last!”
I’ll hug you tight and close my eyes while saying,
“thank you, my lucky stars...”

You were like Augustus in the story made by John
Green,
That I was like Hazel played by Shailene,
That love, respect, and patience are all that can
be felt and seen,
Our story can be described as extraordinary...

This space between us?
It’s just a piece of paper, a matter of distance that
could turn into dust, because for us
Even it’s interplanetary or an ideal one, our love will
last.
So just wait for our take-off and you’ll surely be all
surprised!

So to my last love, what I told you is true,
I beg you not to rush things for us two,
I want you to do your best in everything you’ll do,
And I want you to know that in case you read or
hear this poem, I am also waiting for you.
